Trombone Day!

 

WHO:  The High Altitude Trombone Quartet (HATQ) will be hosting an all-day event, dedicated to educating and entertaining all students and fans of the trombone.  HATQ members are:

 

Joe Martin: trombone professor @ Denver University, Denver Brass

Jeff Craig: Colorado Springs Symphony, Denver Brass

Bill Holst: Colorado Springs Symphony

Jeremy Van Hoy: Colorado Springs Symphony, Denver Brass

 

Our Guest Jazz Clinician will be Mark Burditt of the USAF Band of the Rockies Falconaires.

 

WHAT:  There will be several clinics given on various aspects of trombone performance, a large trombone choir for everyone to play in, and an evening recital by HATQ.  Lunch will be available in the Worner (student) Center cafeteria, but is not included in the registration fee.

 

WHERE:  Colorado College’s Packard Hall, on the southwest corner of Cascade and Cache la Poudre in Colorado Springs.

 

WHEN:  Saturday, November 4th, starting at 9 a.m.  Please arrive at 8:30 a.m. if you plan to register that morning.  However, pre-registering will allow us to better plan for this event.  The recital will be that evening at 7:30 p.m.

 

FEE:  The cost of attending Trombone Day is $10 (make checks out to ‘HATQ’).  If you are only attending the recital, it is free to everyone.
